Macomber Travel Prize Exhibition: FragmentsUSC Helen Lindhurst Fine Arts Gallery &#124; February 21–March 3, 2011
The Kathleen Neely Macomber Travel Prize enabled me to travel to Japan and Hawai’i to explore identity and disconnect within three overlapping spheres—culture, family, and self. My resultant exhibition, at its core, is about death and an unwavering sense of home. This is my attempt to better understand and connect with the world around me, and is as much of a reminder as it is an invitation for others to do the same.</description>
